  The Truth Is Beautiful   Violence pervades and invades our world Though its most upsetting and offensive to us all Many won’t dare to confront it! To be truthful is to call a spade a spade To say black is black And white as white. Accustomed to lies, we bow to it’s evil vices On our lips no time is given to the truth to thrive. Show me an unrepentant liar who denies the truth, And I will show your one that can never experience true happiness! I do ask myself many a times how truthful I am? With a plethora of answers. It takes courage to accept the truth with it’s bitter consequences And eventual sweet and pleasant ending… of peace. Little wonder, every religious holy scriptures and writs- Preaches the virtue of truth to practised And urges lies to be hated and enshewed. Let lies be shoven away from our lips and tongues Let us be drawn to the light of the truth – Regardless of race, religion and realm. © Sumana Naznin All rights reserved

LONGING TO LIVE

Utmost heat, balmy air blowing A gust of wind drove down my ears as if  Unknown pain echoes in my ears.  Startled;  This is a prediction of any misfortune! The eyelids become heavy Tears welled up in my eyes as rolled over. The inside of the heart is wailing Oh ! I can't take it anymore, The poison of evil touches the vapor.
